Job summary

Intermountain Health is seeking a Palliative Care RN to support patients and families facing serious illness in Billings, MT. You will collaborate with physicians, social workers, chaplains, and hospice teams to deliver holistic, patient-centered care.

The role emphasizes symptom management, advance care planning, and comprehensive care coordination with a Monday–Friday schedule and a strong emphasis on caregiver well-being. BSN required; RN license in Montana; BLS certification.

Qualifications

• Minimum RN license in the practicing state with compact-license transfer if applicable.
• BSN required; education verified.
• BLS certification required.
• RNs with <12 months experience must obtain BSN within 4 years of hire.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate care and act as navigator for palliative care patients and families.
• Educate patients and families on diagnosis, treatment options, and resources.
• Assess symptoms and collaborate with providers on care plans.
• Triage patient and family calls and care concerns.
• Coordinate services across primary, specialty, hospice, home health, and community resources.
• Support advance care planning conversations and documentation.
• Provide ongoing follow-up and care coordination throughout the patient journey.
