Job summary

Intermountain Health is seeking a Palliative Care RN in Billings, MT, to support patients and families facing serious illness with compassionate, whole-person care. You will coordinate care across teams, educate families, and guide advance care planning in a 40-hour workweek with no routine nights or weekends.

Qualifications

• Current RN license in the state of practice (compact licenses must transfer within 60 days).
• BSN from an accredited institution; education will be verified.
• BLS certification for Healthcare Providers.
• RNs with less than 12 months of experience must obtain a BSN within four years of hire.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate care and serve as a navigator for palliative care patients and families.
• Educate patients and families about diagnosis, treatment options, and resources.
• Assess symptoms and collaborate with providers on symptom management plans.
• Triage patient and family calls, questions, and care concerns.
• Coordinate services across primary care, specialty care, hospice, home health, and community resources.
• Support advance care planning conversations and documentation.
• Provide ongoing follow-up and care coordination throughout the patient’s healthcare journey.
