The University of Utah Palliative Care Services Program invites applications for a psychologist position in our adult palliative care clinic in Salt Lake City, Utah. This Clinical Attending faculty appointment on the adjunct track is within the Spencer Fox Eccles School of Medicine.

The role involves comprehensive psychological care for patients with serious illnesses, collaboration with physicians, nurses, social workers, and chaplains, and potential involvement in education and research

Qualifikationen

• PhD or PsyD from an APA-accredited graduate program in clinical, counseling, or health psychology.
• Licensure as a psychologist in the State of Utah.
• At least one year of supervised clinical experience in psychotherapy, health psychology, behavioral medicine, or related clinical practice.
• Experience or training with patients with chronic, serious, or life-limiting medical conditions.
• Completion of an APA-accredited doctoral internship.
• Eligible for ABPP certification and willingness to obtain within 3 years of appointment.

Aufgaben

• Provide psychological assessment and evidence-based interventions in outpatient palliative care.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to address psychological, emotional, behavioral, and psychosocial aspects of serious illness.
• Participate in trainee education, program development, quality improvement, and scholarly activities as aligned with interests and program needs.
