Job summary

Piedmont Henry in Stockbridge, GA is hiring a full-time Palliative Care Physician to provide inpatient and palliative care consultations, lead the palliative care team, and guide patients and families through complex medical decisions. The role includes documenting goals of care and improving the patient experience.

The ideal candidate is board certified/eligible in Hospice and Palliative Care, with strong clinical skills and Georgia licensure eligibility; EPIC experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Hospice and Palliative Care (fellowship trained with Palliative Care experience is highly preferred).
• Exceptional clinical and communication skills.
• Ability to obtain a Georgia Medical License; EPIC experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform inpatient and palliative care consultations.
• Provide clinical leadership and expertise within the palliative care team.
• Assist patients and families in navigating complex medical decisions; help manage symptoms and document advance care wishes.
• Proactively identify opportunities to improve patient and family experience of care.
