Job summary

VA Central California Healthcare System (VACCHCS) seeks a physician to provide outpatient and inpatient palliative care consults, coordinate symptom management, and support goals-of-care discussions within the Palliative Care Section of Medicine Service.

The incumbent will participate in interdisciplinary rounds, implement care plans, monitor quality metrics, and contribute to education and program development at VACCHCS in Fresno, CA.

Qualifications

• United States Citizenship required.
• MD or DO degree from an approved school.
• Current US license to practice medicine in the United States.
• Residency in core specialty with board eligibility.
• Board certification in Palliative Care or eligible.
• Proficiency in spoken and written English.

Responsibilities

• Provide outpatient and inpatient palliative care consultations.
• Coordinate symptom management and goals-of-care discussions.
• Participate in interdisciplinary rounds and team meetings.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Monitor quality metrics and contribute to program improvement.
