Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Health’s Palliative Care program in southern New Jersey seeks a board-certified/eligible Palliative Medicine Physician for a 100% clinical role in inpatient and ambulatory settings.

You will join an interdisciplinary team and contribute to program development, education, and best practices, with opportunities for leadership and a potential faculty appointment.

Qualifications

• Board-certified or board-eligible in Palliative Medicine with fellowship training or 2+ years of experience in HPM.
• Ability to provide patient- and family-centered care in inpatient and ambulatory settings.
• Must hold or be eligible for NJ Medical License, DEA, and CDS.

Responsibilities

• Deliver expert palliative pain and symptom management in inpatient and ambulatory settings.
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team including NPs, social workers, and chaplains.
• Engage in academic activities and potential faculty appointment with the School of Medicine.
• Contribute to development of clinical protocols and future HPM fellowship.

Hackensack Meridian Health is seeking a dedicated, board-certified/eligible Palliative Medicine Physician to join our successful and expanding program in the southern New Jersey region. This is a 100% clinical role focused on providing exceptional, patient-centered care in both inpatient and ambulatory settings.

You will join a thriving, multidisciplinary team—including a full-time nurse practitioner, social worker, and chaplain—to deliver comprehensive pain and symptom management. REQUIREMENTS:

• Board-certified or board-eligible in Palliative Medicine with fellowship training OR 2+ years of experience in the HPM field.
• A team-oriented physician with the ability to manage emotionally challenging situations and provide personalized patient and family support.
• Must hold or be eligible for a current NJ Medical License, DEA, and CDS.

Minimum rate of $233,371.00 Annually
