Candidates must have an MD, a palliative medicine fellowship, and DC state licensure; 1–2 years of experience is preferred.

Qualifications

  • Graduation from an accredited medical school and completion of a palliative medicine fellowship is required.
  • 1–2 years of practice experience preferred.
  • DC state licensure to practice medicine is required.
  • Board certification in primary care specialty preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Lead clinical care for seriously ill patients within an academic palliative care program.
  • Foster interprofessional collaboration and patient-centered care.
  • Engage in education, research, and quality improvement initiatives.
  • Mentor trainees and collaborate with MedStar Health partners.

Minimal Qualifications
Education
  • Graduation from an accredited school of medicine and palliative medicine fellowship - required
Experience
  • 1-2 years Practice experience - preferred
Licenses and Certifications
  • MD - Physician - State Licensure License to practice medicine in Washington D.C. required
  • Board certification in primary care specialty preferred
