Job summary

The Palliative Care Practice of MaineHealth Medical Group is actively seeking palliative care physicians to join their dynamic team in various locations throughout Maine. This position will involve working with a collaborative team, developing home-based programs, and enhancing access to specialty care across the system. Ideal candidates will have an MD or DO, and be Board Certified or Eligible in Hospice and Palliative Medicine.

The Palliative Care Practice of MaineHealth Medical Group (MHMG) is seeking palliative care physicians to join our rapidly growing team. There are palliative care physician needs across the MaineHealth system in various locations and settings. We are seeking physician support at Maine Medical Center (MMC) in Portland, the freestanding palliative care outpatient clinic in Scarborough, inpatient and outpatient settings at Lincoln and Mid Coast Hospital, and outreach clinics to rural hospitals in the mountain region of Western Maine. Candidates must be BC/BE in Hospice and Palliative Medicine.

This position offers:

• Part of an effort to increase access to specialty palliative care across MaineHealth Medical Group.
• We are developing a home-based palliative care program.
• Working together with an interdisciplinary team, the MHMG Palliative Care Practice is poised to meet the increasing demand for high quality specialty palliative care across MaineHealth.
