Job summary

Providence is seeking a board-certified/board-eligible Palliative Care physician to join its interdisciplinary team in South Puget Sound. The role covers two hospitals and one clinic in the Olympia area, with primary location at St. Peter Hospital in Olympia and some coverage at nearby facilities.

You will provide clinical expertise to improve care for seriously ill inpatients and outpatients in a mature program. The position offers a 0.75 FTE part-time schedule.

Qualifications

  • Board-certified or board-eligible in Hospice and Palliative Medicine.
  • HPM fellowship training preferred; certification or eligibility required.

Responsibilities

  • Join an interdisciplinary team providing Palliative Care expertise for inpatient and ambulatory patients.
  • Supports two hospitals and one clinic in the Olympia area, with primary location at St. Peter Hospital in Olympia.
  • Contribute to Southwest Washington Palliative Care services program to improve quality of care for seriously ill patients.

Job description

Providence is seeking a board-certified/board-eligible Palliative Care physician to join its interdisciplinary team in beautiful South Puget Sound while working a desirable schedule. You will be part of a well-established Palliative care program that covers two hospitals and one clinic throughout the Olympia area. The primary location is based at the St. Peter Hospital in Olympia, but you can expect to provide some care at the other 2 locations as well. The position provides clinical expertise within the Southwest Washington Palliative Care services program to improve care for inpatient and ambulatory patients with serious and/or life-threatening illnesses. This is an incredible opportunity to be part of an innovative, mature, highly functioning program within the scenic beauty of the Pacific Northwest.

  • Part-time position at 0.75 FTE

  • Primary location is Providence St. Peter Hospital in Olympia, but expect some inpatient coverage at the Providence Centralia Hospital as well as at an outpatient clinic nearby St. Peter Hospital

  • Hospice and Palliative Medicine (HPM) fellowship training preferred; HPM certification or eligibility required

  • Compensation is between $224,532 and $250,676 per year

  • The compensation amounts listed may include productivity or quality/service incentives, call pay, extra shift incentives, as applicable to the position. In addition, providers may have CME benefits available to them
