Job summary

Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center and the University of Washington jointly recruit a full-time clinical faculty member in palliative care at the Clinical Assistant, Clinical Associate, or Clinical Professor level. The role focuses on ambulatory care with an 80:20 mix of clinical service and academic activity, based at the South Lake Union campus.

The candidate will teach, supervise trainees, participate in research and administrative activities, and may see patients at community clinics.

Qualifications

• MD/DO degree required and board certification in Hospice and Palliative Medicine.
• Eligibility for medical licensure in Washington state.
• Ideal candidate has a record of and primary interest in palliative care.
• Rank commensurate with experience based on Clinical Assistant/Associate/Professor levels.

Responsibilities

• Provide ambulatory palliative care to patients in a world-renowned cancer center.
• Teach, supervise trainees during outpatient and inpatient activities, and give lectures.
• Engage in research, administrative, and instructional activities within the Clinical Research Division.
• Recruit and care for trial patients and participate in program development.
