Job summary

Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center in Seattle is seeking a 1.0 FTE ARNP/PA-C for the Palliative Care service at the South Lake Union Campus. You will evaluate and manage palliative care patients, collaborate with oncology and hematology teams, and participate in education and research within an academic cancer center.

Requirements include PA/NP program graduation, 1+ year in palliative care, WA licensure, DEA license, ACLS within 6 months, and strong communication.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner program.
• At least 1 year of APP experience in Palliative Care.
• Experience with hematology/oncology patients is preferred.
• Ability to work in a multidisciplinary team.
• Washington state licensure and DEA license at credentialing time.
• ACLS certification within 6 months of hire.
• Strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct initial palliative care consultations and symptom assessments.
• Coordinate follow-up visits for palliative care patients.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams for safe, effective care.
• Prescribe medications within scope and maintain DEA license.
• Document care per policies and ensure continuity with care teams.
• Engage in education and research activities within palliative care.
