Job summary

Ardagh Group is seeking a Palletizer Operator to run palletizing equipment and ensure efficient, accurate stacking of finished cans. You will monitor for jams, defects, and proper layer counts on each pallet, while maintaining clean work areas and recording data for quality control.

The role requires experience in manufacturing and ability to troubleshoot equipment, with willingness to work overtime and nights as needed. Nearest markets include Toledo and Cleveland areas.

Qualifications

• Familiar with Personal Protective Equipment.
• Detail oriented.
• Two years experience in a manufacturing environment with troubleshooting and mechanical repairs.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Operate and control palletizing equipment and clear jams.
• Verify correct number of layers on each pallet.
• Inspect cans for quality defects along conveyor.
• Record data using appropriate gauges and instruments.
• Inform supervisor of equipment malfunctions and defects.
• Maintain cleanliness and supplies in the work area.
• Perform preventative maintenance checks on equipment.
• Maintain forklift certification and support forklift duties as needed.
• Communicate with peers about issues and process changes.
• Sort/re-feed cans as required.
• Include other duties as assigned.
