The Palletizer Operator at Crown Holdings, Inc. Hanover Plant works a rotating 12-hour schedule (5pm–5am) to run and monitor palletizer equipment for 2-piece and 3-piece steel cans. The role emphasizes safety, quality, and productivity while ensuring accurate labeling and documentation.

Location: Plant 37 is located in Hanover, PA. The Plant manufactures 2-piece and 3-piece steel cans for the food industry. There are approximately 95 employees at the Hanover location. The Hanover Plant is located on Route 194 in York County and is in close proximity to York, PA, Gettysburg, PA and the Maryland border. This position is scheduled on a rotating 12 hour schedule. The hours for this position are 5pm-5am with mandatory overtime as needed. The hourly rate of pay is $21.40 with an additional $2 an hour for shift differential.
The Palletizer Operator works closely with Supervision and Quality to ensure optimum levels in Quality Inspections, Package identification, and Final packaging.
Able to work alternate work schedules including overtime, voluntary and mandatory, based on business needs
Manufacturing experience High School Education/GED Knowledge of all OSHA related training in a manufacturing environment Knowledge of AS400 6S Training Competencies Problem solving skills through an individual and/or collaborative approach Ability to work independently or with a team With consensus be able to look at new solutions and "think outside the box" Effective leadership skills such as conflict resolution, communication, decision making, etc Demonstrated good relations skills and the ability to motivate or team with people Excellent time management skills and multi-tasking Excellent oral and written communication skills Computer skills and working knowledge of various Microsoft programs (Excel, Word, Access, etc.)
While performing the duties of this job, employee is regularly required to sit, stand, walk, use hands, reach with hands and arms, and may be required to balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds Ability to stand 8-12 hours per shift Ability to climb and descend stairs Working Conditions Generally works in a packaging/warehouse or plant environment While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be exposed to light lifting, warehouse forklift traffic Production noise level is frequently loud
