Job summary

America's Heartland Packing is seeking a Palletizer to efficiently stack products onto pallets for shipping and storage. The role emphasizes accurate placement, secure labeling, and safe handling to support inventory control and timely distribution.

Typical duties include daily pallet jack inspection, processing load tickets, hand stacking, date checks, pallet wrapping, and using scan guns for tagging and shipping.

Qualifications

• Must be able to work in a humid, cold, wet or slippery environment around moving equipment and parts with PPE.

Responsibilities

• Complete a daily inspection report of the pallet jack at the start of each shift and report safety deficiencies to the shipping supervisor immediately.
• Receive load tickets from the load controller and work with high lift drivers to drop product per the ticket.
• Hand stack boxes, separate products by date as required by the customer and wrap pallets with a pallet wrapper or by hand.
• Check product code dates to ensure the oldest product is being picked and dates meet customer restrictions.
• Move products to the dock and coordinate with the loader when needed.
• Use scan guns to build pallet tags, complete pallet inquiries, ship orders, transfer products to warehouses, and process customer returns.
