Job summary

Temiskaming Shores & Area Chamber of is seeking a full-time pallet dismantler in Harrisburg, PA. You will operate the pallet dismantling machine, push and pull pallets through the line, and change blades to keep production running safely.

Responsibilities also include quality control and prep, removing nails and debris, and sending usable parts to the lumber sorter. On-the-job training is provided; benefits include health insurance and 401(k).

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Stand for the full shift.
• Ability to read a tape measure is required.
• Works well with others.
• Self-driven and able to keep up in a fast-paced, physical job.
• Reliable and shows up to work on time.

• As the pusher, push pallets through the machine; as the puller, pull dismantled pallets through the machine.
• Change broken or loose blades to ensure continuous operation.
• Unjam pallets or boards stuck in the machine, maintaining minimal downtime.
• Ensure pallets are free of debris before dismantling.
• Dismantle pallets in a manner that minimizes damage and cut marks to the materials.
• Properly prepare dismantled parts by removing protruding nails, screws, and other materials that could affect further processing.
• Send quality recycled parts to the lumber sorter for further processing.

Pay: $11.00/hr starting out and a weekly attendance bonus.
