Job summary

CHEP is hiring Pallet Assembly Operators for the Livonia, MI facility on 1st shift. You will be assembling pallet components, using pneumatic nail guns, and upholding safety and quality standards in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires strong attention to detail, good communication, and the ability to work well with others. Benefits include medical and dental plans, PPE provided, and 401(k) matching. Prior manufacturing experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Essential English communication and the ability to follow safety protocols.
• Experience with production tools, including pneumatic nail guns, in a manufacturing setting.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in pallet assembly.
• Ability to read and follow instructions and repair guidelines.
• Good time management to meet production targets and shifts.

Responsibilities

• Assemble pallet components accurately on the top or bottom deck.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth transitions between processes.
• Monitor and adjust assembly steps to maintain efficiency and quality.
• Perform visual quality checks and identify defects in pallet construction.
• Maintain cleanliness and follow safety procedures in the work area.
• Use provided PPE and report safety hazards promptly.
