Job summary

UFP Industries is seeking an Assembler I to fabricate component parts or assemble finished products per customer specifications. This role ensures correct parts and supplies, follows safety and quality standards, and maintains a clean, organized work area in a manufacturing setting.

The position starts at $16/hr with a 60-day evaluation. Prior manufacturing or assembly experience is preferred but not required, with basic math and tape-measure reading skills advantageous for accuracy.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma/GED preferred but not required.
  • No minimum experience is required; 6 months of manufacturing and assembling experience preferred.
  • Working knowledge of basic math preferred.
  • Know how to read a tape measure.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Authorized to work in the United States of America.

Responsibilities

  • Completes work area setup.
  • Fits parts together per instructions and quality standards.
  • Operates hand tools to complete the assembly process.
  • Stacks completed products and may label or band components.
  • Keeps work area safe, clean, and organized; ensures equipment is safe to operate.
  • Completes pre-shift startup equipment inspection checklist and reports issues.
  • Maintains a clean and orderly work environment.
  • Maintains production records as required.
  • Checks materials and finished products for standard compliance.
  • Follows safety and quality procedures and participates in related programs.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Job Summary

Assembler I is responsible for fabricating component parts or assembling the finished product according to the customer's specifications. Secures and maintains correct component parts and supplies required for the operation.

Principle Duties And Responsibilities
  • Completes work area setup
  • Fits parts together in accordance with prescribed instructions and in accordance with quality standards
  • Operates hand tools as required to complete the assembly process
  • Stacks completed products in accordance with established procedures, and if required, may cover, label, and band components finished product
  • Ensures work area is safe, clean and organized, and that equipment is safe to operate
  • Completes pre-shift startup equipment inspection checklist and reports any problems or concerns
  • Maintains a clean and orderly work environment
  • Maintains production records as required
  • Checks materials and finished products to ensure they are compliant with standards
  • Performs duties consistent with established safety and quality procedures, rules, and standards
  • Participates in safety, CI, and other programs and meetings
  • Performs other duties as assigned
