POSITION SUMMARY

Our company is growing rapidly and is hiring for a Use Case Data Scientist to support our data solutions team. This individual will be part of a team that uses cutting-edge technology to build solutions working with large volumes of data across multiple platforms. They will partner with data scientists, data engineers, and product owners to deliver products that drive decision-making. Ultimately, this role will be responsible for translating business requirements into machine learning models throughout all development phases.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
  1. Participate in user interviews to understand technical and customer needs.
  2. Create data pipelines using Pipeline Builder and Code Repositories.
  3. Create and manage data modeling objects.
  4. Analyze data using tools like Code Workbook, Contour, and Quiver.
  5. Establish data connections, build data health monitors, and analyze data lineage.
  6. Manage requests for customer-facing applications built with machine learning technologies.
  7. Translate business needs, challenges, and requirements into solutions that deliver value.
Qualifications
Education & Experience:
  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • 2-5 years of data engineering experience.
  • 2-5 years of experience in predictive and prescriptive modeling.
  • 2-5 years of experience in programming for large-scale data analysis and modernization.
  • Experience with Code Repositories and branching strategies.
Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities:
  • Hands-on experience with data science tools.
  • Ability to write scripts for data manipulation, transformation, and analysis.
  • Proficiency in Python, SQL, or R.
  • Problem-solving aptitude.
  • Continuous research and evaluation of emerging technologies.
  • Excellent communication skills.

Preferred: Experience in data engineering/ETL ecosystems with Palantir Foundry, Cognizant, Python, PySpark, Java; familiarity with machine learning libraries like scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch.

Certificates, Licenses, and Professional Designations:
  • Certifications such as Foundry Application Developer, Foundry Data Analyst, Foundry Data Engineer are a plus.
