Job summary

Husky Rack & Wire is seeking a skilled technician to operate an electro-static paint spraying system that coats uprights, beams, and various pallet rack components. Responsibilities include setting up lines, regulating pressures, and coordinating spray patterns with conveyor speed to ensure high-quality results.

The role requires maintaining the booth and equipment, managing paint inventories, and reporting daily production metrics.

• Attach air and paint lines to spraying system and regulate pressures; adjust guns and synchronize conveyor speed for different parts.
• Set up paint barrels/pails; check viscosities; purge/flush color changes; monitor curing catalyst.
• Maintain, lubricate, and clean booth, equipment, and conveyor; purge systems and change air valves/filters.
• Maintain paint supply inventory and submit daily production report.
• Detect and report equipment malfunctions; follow safety rules; keep work area clean.
• Perform other similar duties as assigned by team leader or supervisor.

Job description

Hours: Monday -Thursday 3:30pm to 2:00am with mandatory OT on Fridays and Saturdays based on a business need + 10% shift Differential

Job Summary

Set up and operate electro-static paint spraying system to automatically spray paint uprights, beams, and various components of pallet racks and cable reel racks following established practices, methods and procedures.

Essential Job Functions

• Attach various air and paint lines to paint spraying system and regulate pressures as required. Adjust guns in booth for spray pattern and travel for various configurations of parts to be painted. Synchronize speed of conveyor and spray guns to ensure acceptable quality. Monitor various dials, pressure gauges, operation of guns and drying oven. Stop system as necessary to change paint bells, feed and static tips, air valves, etc.
• Set up barrels and/or pails of various color paints. Check viscosities and add thinners as necessary. Purge and flush paint line of color changes. Refer to established schedule of speeds for various parts and paints. Monitor injection of curing catalyst. Maintain still for reclaiming solvents.
• Maintain, lubricate and clean booth, equipment and conveyor. Clean paint system and guns by purging with thinner. Completely check entire system and work with handlers to clean booth, change filters, etc. change and clean air valves as necessary.
• Maintain paint and supply inventory and submit daily production report.
• Detect and report equipment malfunctions, unusual situations, other problems to the team leader. Follow all safety rules, regulations and practices. Maintain equipment and work area in a clean and orderly condition.

Perform other similar duties as assigned by team leader or supervisor.
