Job summary

Ford Motor Company in Dearborn, MI is seeking a seasoned Paint Shop Lead to drive automation improvements, reduce downtime, and improve quality in the manufacturing plant. You will lead safety, productivity and training, while coordinating with vendors and shift teams to ensure efficient painting operations across 7-on/7-off 12-hour shifts.

The role requires extensive Fanuc robot experience, PLC knowledge, and a track record of optimizing throughput in automotive paint environments.

Qualifications

High School Diploma.
5+ years’ paint experience in a manufacturing environment.
3+ years of experience with Microsoft Office.
Automotive paint shop experience.
Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles.
Knowledge of constraint management principles.
Fanuc Robot operation and programming experience.
Extensive Fanuc P1000 and P250 robot experience.
PLC / Control logic knowledge.

Responsibilities

Coach Safety, Quality and Productivity to ensure objectives are met through following standardized work.
Optimize throughput in accordance with budgets and cost objectives.
Monitor ANDON occurrences and respond as secondary support.
Verify paint automation tenders are performing tasks through Process Confirmation.
Support Kaizen and coach problem resolution to the lowest level.
Build Team Leader and Team Member capability.
Assist with paint launch activities and automation training.
Schedule Automation Tenders and manage downtime reports.
