Job summary

Gulf Coast Industrial is seeking a skilled Painter to apply industrial coatings on tanks, vessels, and related structures. You will follow customer specifications, mix and thin coatings, and maintain spray equipment to ensure even milage and high-quality finishes.

Travel is occasional, and candidates should be knowledgeable about epoxy, urethanes, polyesters, and vinylesters, with a strong focus on safety and QA/QC practices to protect workers and the environment.

Qualifications

• The painter must be highly productive and proficient with all coatings, tools, and procedures for safe, effective application.
• Proficient in spraying to maintain even milage across surfaces.
• Knowledge of epoxy, urethanes, polyesters, vinylesters coatings.
• Knowledge of Hazardous waste management.
• Proficient in all Safety aspects of the craft.
• Proficient in QA/QC requirements of the craft.

Responsibilities

• Applies coatings to various structures, tanks, piping, and miscellaneous surfaces in accordance with customers' specifications and manufacturers' recommendations.
• Assembles, maintains, repairs, and cleans painting equipment.
• Mix and thin the coatings according to the manufacturer's recommendations.
• Construct protective enclosures to avoid overspray of customers' equipment.
• Assist in loading, unloading, and storage of equipment and supplies.
• At all times perform work in the safest possible manner.
• Immediately correct any unsafe condition.
• Perform onsite QA/QC functions, including paperwork and evaluation of employees.

Job Summary

The Painter must effectively and safely perform coatings application and all associated phases of industrial coatings.

Key Requirements, Education, and Experience

• The painter must be highly productive, experienced in the multiple crafts involved, and an expert in the mechanic and use of all equipment, materials, and procedures necessary for the safe and effective application of coatings.
• They must be proficient in spraying to maintain even milage.
• Must possess knowledge of and experience in different coatings. (Epoxy, urethanes, polyesters, vinylesters.)
• Must have knowledge of Hazardous waste management.
• Must be proficient in all Safety aspects of his craft.
• Must be proficient in QA/QC requirements of his craft.
