Role

The Maintenance Painter is responsible for ensuring proper paint and related maintenance of the resort through fulfilling guest requests and ongoing preventative maintenance. All duties are to be performed in accordance with federal, state, local laws, regulations, and ordinances, as well as department and company policies, practices, and procedures to ensure overall facility integrity.

Responsibilities:

  1. Perform routine to complex maintenance and repair work on all furniture, cabinetry, rooms, public areas, and offices.
  2. Complete jobs assigned by Dispatch or Management and maintain logbooks.
  3. Understand the layout of the property, hotel rooms, and equipment.
  4. Conduct ongoing paint and paint-related repairs of guest units and all public areas.
  5. Proactively check for and address any areas requiring maintenance or repair.
  6. Stay informed on current techniques and technical methods; advise Shift Supervisor of any unusual conditions within the property.
  7. Maintain awareness of personal and property cleanliness, safety, and accident prevention; wear/use personal protective equipment (P.P.E.).
  8. Perform other job-related duties as requested.
  9. Keep maintenance shop(s) clean and organized.
  10. Maintain inventory logs of supplies to ensure stock levels are adequate.
  11. Follow all safety procedures.
  12. Use a 2-way radio effectively.

Requirements:

  • Effective oral and written English communication skills.
  • Minimum six months to one year experience in industrial painting.
  • Excellent design skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to interpret and draw design templates.
  • Ability to lift, pull, and manipulate heavy objects.
  • Ability to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays.
