Job summary

Pj-Trailers is seeking a Painter 2 to apply sandblasting, priming and powder coating on trailers in a production environment. You will operate electrostatic air sprayers or hand sprayers, prepare surfaces, and ensure painting quality levels are met.

Responsibilities include following safety rules, maintaining equipment and booths, working with a paint lead, and performing other duties as assigned. This is a full-time role with early shift hours from 5am to 3:30pm, Monday through Thursday.

Qualifications

• Experience painting in a production environment.
• Experience using electrostatic air sprayers or hand sprayers.
• Ability to prepare trailer surfaces for painting.
• Must follow safety rules and wear appropriate PPE.

Responsibilities

• Perform sandblasting, priming and/or powder coating on trailers.

A successful candidate is a self-motivated multi-tasker that utilizes a strong work ethic to ensure all painting quality levels are met.Job ResponsibilitiesApplicants must have knowledge of painting in a production environment and have experience using an electrostatic air sprayer, or other hand sprayer and have experience with preparing surfaces of trailers for painting.The successful candidate will follow all safety rules and regulations.The ability to work as a team, follow orders and complete tasks as assigned by paint leadKnowledgeable in operation of all equipment required for surface preparation, primer and topcoat application.Cleaning and maintaining of all equipment and booths.Employee must be able to work in a respirator.Perform other duties as assigned.Other duties may be assigned to meet business needs. Incumbent will follow other job-related instructions and perform other job-related duties from time to time if requested by management.Experience & RequirementsMust possess the skill set to support a safe working environment.Experience painting, powder coating and/or sandblasting.Must be 18 years old.Ability to stand for 10 hours.Ability to work in a paint suit and respirator.Lift, push and pull 50 lbs
