Job description

Compensation Rate: $16.00/hr.

What you get to do:

  • Perform all functions of general paint work for in-park painting services while ensuring a safe environment for guests and employees.
  • Utilize application methods, airless spray, conventional spray equipment, brush and roller applications.
  • Perform pressure washing; assemble, dismantle scaffolding.
  • Perform tasks assigned within time constraints implied by park operational guidelines; organize and plan daily workload without direct supervision.
  • Select proper materials for jobs.
  • Maintain cleanliness in the paint shop and storage areas.
  • Dependable performance in terms of attendance, acceptance of assignments, and strict adherence to all safety policies and requirements.
  • Perform other miscellaneous duties as required.

What It Takes To Succeed:

  • Have at least one year of onsite experience or equivalent experience in the painting field.
  • Have experience working with chemical and hazardous waste.
  • Ability to obtain a company driver’s license including high reach and forklift licenses.
  • Have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Be comfortable building and working on scaffolding up to 24ft.
  • Be able to pass a respirator fit test.
  • Have basic mathematical skills.
  • Be comfortable working at heights up to 385ft.
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds and push/pull up to 100 pounds with assistance.
  • Be able to climb and work off of ladders.
  • Have paint and body experience.
  • Have experience in fiberglass repairs, applying polyester bondo and refinishing.
  • Be familiar with Mach and Sata HVLP automotive spray guns.
  • Ability to work under and meet tight deadlines.
  • Be comfortable with exposure to noise and vibrations.
  • Be comfortable working around fumes/dust/odor.
  • Ability to work in all weather conditions and temperature extremes.
  • Ability to train on and properly use protective gear.
  • Available to work varying shifts or hours based on park hours; i.e. be able to work opening and closing shifts.

What Else Is Important:

  • Valid state driver’s license preferred.
  • Base coat/clear coat and single stage preferred.
  • Experience in other maintenance fields preferred.
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

As a 365 day/year operation, full-time candidates are expected to provide flexible availability to support year-round operating needs. This may include, but is not limited to, working opening, mid-day and closing shifts during peak and non-peak seasons, as well as weekends and holidays.
