Responsibilities
- Perform duties including trash pick-up, painting, plumbing, heating, cooling systems, electrical work, and furniture moving.
- Assist with apartment turnover duties such as painting, sheetrock repair, and carpentry.
- Report to work during emergencies like snowstorms, hurricanes, floods, fires, or equipment failures.
- Provide weekend coverage with other maintenance staff.
- Help move resident vehicles.
- Deliver services using company vehicles, including pickups, vans, or buses, locally or long-range.
- Perform snow removal using shovels, snow blowers, or equipment like a skid-steer loader.
- Ensure safety for oneself and the environment.
- Report updates to the Facilities Manager and Supervisor regularly and during emergencies.
- Be available for emergency calls on an alternating basis with other staff.
- Attend annual in-service programs on safety, body mechanics, and other topics.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems and trades.
- Skills in painting, sheetrock repair, and carpentry.
- Ability to stand, walk, push repeatedly, and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to read, speak, write, and follow instructions.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid Driver's License meeting driving record standards.
- Permission to process Motor Vehicle Record.
