Job Summary

The Painter role is responsible for executing assigned tasks according to Work Instructions and Standard Operating Procedures, ensuring safety and quality standards are met without compromise.


When required to achieve 'certified' status, team members will undergo comprehensive training through a Job Instruction process to attain the necessary certification, as per the competence matrix and site-specific BMS/QMS.


The team member will receive support from their Team Leader (TL) for training, coaching, and addressing any quality issues promptly.


Active participation in safety and continuous improvement initiatives is expected, including hazard identification, reporting issues to the TL, and suggesting improvements (Kaizen).


The team collaborates to foster a positive work environment emphasizing safety, continuous improvement, and open communication.

Job Responsibilities

  • Contribute to a positive work environment by demonstrating safety-first behavior, supporting colleagues, and embracing a Kaizen mindset.

  • Hold oneself and team accountable to uphold GKNA culture principles.

  • Perform tasks in accordance with standard work and training, immediately reporting safety, quality, or other issues to the TL.

  • Follow all health, safety, and environmental policies and standards, exemplifying a safety-first approach.

  • Understand and contribute to team KPIs related to People, Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cash, and Cost.

  • Achieve Lean Foundation certification and implement at least one Kaizen per month.

  • Support problem-solving efforts within the team, sharing ideas based on personal experience.

  • Engage actively with the team to promote collective involvement.

  • Comply with all legal and regulatory requirements, including EEO policies, ethics policies related to US government contracting, and export control regulations.
