• The Painter II is expected to safely complete supervised powder coat paint procedures, processes, or policies. The role also involves completing supervised maintenance activities. Painters can safely and efficiently load and unload raw parts from the paint line and/or perform the powder coat paint process. They are expected to move efficiently and safely, resulting in a ready-to-use part or assembly.

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent and/or 1 year of powder coat painting or related experience
• Able to pass a respiratory questionnaire and wear air hood (PPE requirement)
• Internal: Demonstrated Painter II competency & ability to pass a pulmonary function test (PPE requirement)

Preferred Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Previous experience with powder paint systems

Essential Duties

• Maintain a clean work environment
• Work in a high heat environment
• Perform work duties safely and in accordance with policy, including wearing PPE (Tyvek suit when painting, bump cap in paint area), and perform housekeeping duties
• Perform cleaning and preparatory operations for coating
• Perform painting in the paint booth
• Assist with maintaining paint equipment
• Load, transfer, and unload parts from the paint line
• Hang/rack parts for paint application

Additional Responsibilities

• Perform stock handling duties
• Maintain proper counts and report scrap
• Exchange and break down racks for burn off
• Inspect part quality before and after finishing
