Responsibilities




The primary goalissatisfyingcustomer requirementsofquality, quantity, and delivery, in a safe manner, while maximizing productivity. Specifically,thePainterIisresponsible for all job activities required to support production processes. These activities include but are not limitedto:working primarily in thepaintroom(s), set-up and clean-up of painting equipment and proficient quality finishing. The individual may prep or provide other functions in other plant areas as well.Employeeisresponsible for visually inspecting parts.

Other responsibilities:

  • Prep, clean, grind, sandandfill steelproducts
  • Mixing, matching, and applying paint to various surfaces, completing touchups, and coordinating large painting projects
  • Moving parts withlowbarthroughthe process
  • Maintains paint and coating supplies
  • Adjustssprayer valves andnozzleto regulate width and pressure of spray to accomplish desired finish
  • Fixing and re-painting when required
  • Followsall plant safety guidelines, practices and procedures. Also, be aware of activity in the work surroundings and maintain a clean and safe workarea
  • Properly use personal protective equipment when required
  • Maintain regular attendance - have reliable means of transportation
  • Performothertasks as assigned





Qualifications




Prior manufacturing experience is highly preferred. Any technical or vocational education/trainingin relation to skills listed below is alsodesirable.

  • Abilityto read and understand blueprintsis desirable
  • Forklifts and Overhead crane experiencepreferred (in-house training available)
  • Mustbe able to pass a background check andpre employmentdrug test
  • Teamplayer -must be able to work with others
  • Must have and maintain a high sense of urgency to meet and exceed all production goals
  • Attentive to detail watching for material defects and any quality issues
  • Physically capable of standing, walking, bending, pushing, pulling, reaching and twisting throughoutshift
  • Capableofrepetitively lifting25-50 lbs.
  • Candidates must be flexibleto workovertime as needed, which may include weekends and/orholidays

Work Environment

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee works intypicalmanufacturing environment with overhead cranes and forklifts.
  • Overhead LED lights throughout the workspace create a bright workspace for employees to safely perform their work.
  • Normallycleanwork environment where the process creates somegrinding dust, heat/cold, fumes/odors,andvibration.Housekeeping is performed as needed throughout the day and at the end of each shift.
  • The noise level in the work environmentis normaltomanufacturing processes with air tools, grinders, and other tools. Yearly audiometric testing is provided by the company to monitor areas for improvement.
  • Non-climate-controlled facility in the summer, each work area is provided with fans to help keep cool. In the winter it is heated.
