Job summary

Kinsley Steel, Inc. is seeking a Painter/Load to support on-site fabrication and finishing of structural steel. The role involves preparing and painting steel surfaces, loading and unloading materials, and assisting with rigging and movement of steel components on job sites.

Daily work includes operating a forklift, maintaining safety standards, and collaborating with shop and field teams. Must be able to work 1st or 2nd shifts and endure a physically demanding environment.

Qualifications

• Must have experience with overhead cranes.
• Experience painting with paint sprayers is a plus.
• Must be able to stand for up to 10 hours and tolerate hot/cold environments.

• Prep and paint structural steel.

The Painter/Load is responsible for painting and preparing structural steel and assisting with loading and unloading steel from trucks as required.

Daily Responsibilities

• Prep and paint structural steel.
• Operate forklift as needed.
• Perform rigging work to move materials as requires.
• Load and unload steel from trucks.
• Perform other duties as required to support the fabrication shop.

Requirements

• Must have experience with overhead cranes.
• Experience painting and using paint sprayers to apply paint is a plus.
• Maintain a positive work atmosphere by functioning and communicating in an effective manner with co-workers, clients, and supervisors.
• Works in compliance with Kinsley's safety policies and procedures.
• Must be flexible to work any schedule including overtime and Saturdays as needed.
• Basic math skills are required.
• Must be able to tolerate hot and cold working environment.
• Must be able to stand on feet for up to 10 hours.
• Must be organized and can multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• 1st & 2nd Shifts available.
