Job summary

Global Finishing Solutions is seeking an Industrial Painter I to join our Osseo, WI shop floor. You will apply primers and coatings, adjust spray equipment, and prepare surfaces for high-quality finishes while adhering to safety and VOC guidelines.

The role blends independent work with strong teamwork to meet daily production goals. The ideal candidate has 2–4 years in painting, ability to read blueprints, operate paint booths, and use IFS/SharePoint and Cratetracker for tracking.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • 2-4 years of painting experience.
  • Ability to perform quality checks using measurement tools.
  • Ability to operate cranes and mobile equipment.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
  • Ability to use IFS, SharePoint, Cratetracker and VOC tracking software.
  • Ability to operate paint booth including wet and dry film gauges and shot blaster.
  • Ability to apply primer and finish coats to appropriate mil thickness.

Responsibilities

  • Apply primer and finish coatings with consistency and precision to meet quality standards.
  • Adjust spray equipment (valves and nozzles) to control pressure for the right finish.
  • Prepare surfaces by cleaning/caulking for high-quality finishes.
  • Operate shot blaster to clean structural steel before painting.
  • Maintain a clean, organized paint area and follow safety policies.
  • Track paint usage to support VOC reporting and compliance.
  • Follow GFS Quality Management System (QMS) in all work aspects.
  • Work independently and with a team to keep production moving and meet daily goals.

As an Industrial Painter, you’re the finishing touch that brings products to life. From applying primers to final coatings, you’ll ensure every surface is covered with precision, consistency, and care. Using materials like enamel and epoxy, your work not only enhances appearance but also protects and extends the life of each product.

What Success Looks Like

  • Apply primer and finish coatings with consistency and precision, ensuring even coverage and proper thickness to meet quality standards.
  • Adjust spray equipment, including valves and nozzles, to control pressure and achieve the right finish for each product.
  • Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, caulking, and ensuring materials are ready for a high-quality finish.
  • Operate equipment such as the shot blaster to properly clean structural steel prior to painting, following all safety requirements.
  • Maintain a clean, organized paint area while following all company safety policies and procedures.
  • Accurately track paint usage to support VOC reporting and maintain compliance standards.
  • Take ownership of quality by following GFS Quality Management System (QMS) standards in all aspects of your work.
  • Work both independently and as part of a team to keep production moving efficiently and meet daily goals.

Qualifications That Shine

  • Ability to apply primer and finish coats to appropriate mil thickness

Pay Range : $20.13 – $23.55 per hour, as applicable, based on your experience, skills, and qualifications.

Bonus Eligibility: This position is eligible for an annual individual incentive based on company performance. Maximum bonus amounts may vary depending on role.
