Position Overview

The Painter Helper assists painters in preparing wood and metal surfaces for painting and applies paint to equipment, parts, machinery, buildings, and other areas using spray guns, brushes, and rollers. Additional duties may be assigned as needed.

Responsibilities

1. Read work orders and follow verbal instructions.
2. Prepare surfaces by removing dirt, oil, grease, old paint, smoothing cracks, and filling holes.
3. Work at heights confidently and safely.
4. Fill cavities and dents with putty to achieve smooth surfaces.
5. Erect scaffolding or set up ladders for above-ground tasks.
6. Apply paint using brushes and rollers.
7. Perform other related duties as assigned.
