Job summary

Hunton Services, a division of the Hunton Group, seeks an entry-level Painter Helper to support painters and production teams with prep work, masking, material handling, cleanup, and general shop tasks.

You will gain hands-on training, work closely with experienced staff, and contribute to safe, efficient painting operations while developing toward higher-skilled roles in the organization.

Qualifications

• No formal experience required; entry-level position.
• Willingness to learn and take direction.
• Reliable attendance and strong work ethic.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Assist painters with surface preparation: cleaning, degreasing, sanding/scuffing, masking, staging parts.
• Set up and break down paint areas: paper/plastic masking, hanging parts, moving carts/fixtures.
• General shop support: organize tools/materials, housekeeping, trash disposal, staging components.
• Move materials safely using carts/pallet jacks; assist with forklift/crane work as trained.
• Follow safety rules and PPE requirements at all times.
• Learn quality basics: what “good prep” and “good finish” look like.
