Job Summary

Perform a variety of skilled and semi-skilled tasks to maintain the operation of the buildings.

Essential Functions

• Replace lights and nurse call lights, repair beds, adjust temperature control devices, maintain sinks and toilets, and complete other repairs according to established guidelines.
• Perform painting services as per guidelines.
• Document repairs, replacement parts, and adjustments in accordance with department and regulatory standards.
• Establish and maintain a preventative maintenance program within specified timeframes.
• Operate and maintain trucks and other mechanical equipment in a safe and functional condition.
• Respond to emergency and routine repairs within department timeframes, meeting regulatory requirements.
• Assist trades in installation, maintenance, or basic repair of equipment, piping, electrical, HVAC systems, and snow removal following department standards.
• Support customer service and quality improvement efforts actively to meet goals.

Qualifications

Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent required; Trade/Technical/Vocational Diploma in a related field preferred.

Experience: 1-2 years of related experience preferred.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Knowledge of safe maintenance practices, effective communication skills, proficiency in office computer applications, strong interpersonal skills, high level of service orientation, initiative, and adaptability.
