Job description

Job Overview:

Apply paint, stain, and other finishes, along with wall coverings, to decorate and protect interior and exterior surfaces, including walls, woodwork, fixtures, machines, and building structures within hospital facilities as scheduled.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • High School Diploma, Technical School graduate, or equivalent.
  • Sufficient experience through a painting apprenticeship and broad experience to qualify as a painter.
  • Three to five years of experience as a painter.
Licenses:

Required:

  • Valid New Jersey Driver's License.
Scheduling Requirements:
  • Full-Time
  • Day shifts
  • 40 hours per week
Essential Functions:
  • Lead all painting and finishing work, ensuring compliance with industry codes and manufacturer specifications.
  • Perform surface preparation, repairs, and finishing using accepted methods.
  • Prepare surfaces by washing, scraping, or other means.
  • Fill holes and cracks with appropriate materials.
  • Apply paint using brushes, rollers, or spray guns; mix paints as needed.
  • Sand surfaces to achieve desired finish.
  • Maintain cleanliness and efficiency to deliver first-class paint jobs.
  • Apply wall coverings and cove base when required.
  • Respond promptly to alarms throughout the facility.
