Job Overview:

Apply paint, stain, and other finishes and wall coverings to decorate and protect interior and exterior surfaces, walls, woodwork, fixtures, machines, and building structures of hospital facilities as scheduled.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • High School Diploma, Technical School graduate, or equivalent.
  • Sufficient experience through apprenticeship and broad experience to qualify as a painter.
  • Three to five years of experience as a painter.

Licenses:

  • Valid New Jersey Driver's License.
Scheduling Requirements:
  • Full-Time
  • Days
  • 40 Hours per week
Essential Functions:
  • Lead all painting and finishing work, ensuring compliance with industry codes and manufacturer specifications.
  • Prepare surfaces for painting by washing, scraping, brushing, or burning.
  • Fill holes and cracks with appropriate materials.
  • Apply paint using brushes, rollers, or spray guns.
  • Mix and blend paints and stains as needed.
  • Sand surfaces to achieve desired finishes.
  • Maintain a clean and efficient work environment, delivering first-class paint jobs.
  • Apply wall coverings, vinyl, and wall cove base as required.
  • Respond promptly to alarms throughout the facility.
