Job description

WinnCompanies is searching for a Painter to join our military housing team at Fort Knox, KY.

In this role, you will be responsible for painting homes, primarily interiors. You will also complete other site responsibilities and projects as assigned.

Responsibilities
  1. Paint both the exterior and interior of homes, common areas, and community offices and buildings.
  2. Perform all painting in accordance with schedules issued by management.
  3. Apply texture to ceilings and walls using an air texture applicator and hopper.
  4. Ensure proper protection of unpainted surfaces through the use of drop cloths, tarps, tape, masking, and paint shields.
  5. Maintain a vehicle inventory or paint equipment and supplies.
  6. Keep all equipment clean and well-maintained.
  7. Attend trainings, workshops, and meetings as required.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • 1-3 years of relevant work experience.
  • A current driver's license in good standing, meeting the standards outlined in the Company Safe Vehicular Operations Policy.
  • Knowledge of different surface peculiarities, paint types, and sealants for various applications.
  • Proficiency with multiple painting methods, including brushes, rollers, and sprayers.
  • Ability to pass a physical exam for respirator use if working with sprayers.
  • Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and manage time effectively.
  • Ability to plan, organize, and prioritize work.
  • This position is located at a federal facility. In accordance with the REAL ID Act, effective May 7, 2025, a REAL ID compliant driver's license/ID is required for access.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Vocational or technical training.
  • 1-3 years of trade or apprentice experience.
