Painter Foreman (Loudon, TN) - Austin Industrial

Position: Painter Foreman

Job Description:

• Provide clear direction to the work crew regarding the scope of work and set daily progress goals.
• Read blueprints and schematic drawings to determine work procedures.

Functional Requirements:

• Understand the construction process and the use of tools to complete various jobs.
• Apply coats of paint or other materials to decorate and protect interior and exterior surfaces, trimmings, and fixtures.
• Prepare surfaces by smoothing with sandpaper, brushes, or steel wool, and remove old paint using appropriate tools.
• Fill nail holes, cracks, and joints with putty, plaster, or other fillers.
• Select or mix paints to match specified colors.
• Paint surfaces using brushes, spray guns, or rollers.
• Assist with erecting scaffolding or setting up ladders for tasks above ground level.
• Maintain full mobility and work in various positions, including reaching overhead, stooping, standing, bending, kneeling, and working at heights.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• 3-5 years of Journeyman level experience.
• Must pass a drug screen and background check.
• Legally authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.

This is a full-time position, working 40 hours per week. No per diem or relocation assistance is provided.
