Job description

Painter/ Finisher 1st Shift

Position Summary:

Prepares, primes, and paints manufactured parts on the paint line to ensure showroom quality for machines produced by Milacron.

Work You’ll Do:

  • Open bay painter/operator; prep parts by washing and priming; paint manufactured parts in the paint booth.
  • Load and unload parts for the paint line; perform painting operations as required by production demands, following work instructions.
  • Prepare and mix paints to achieve the specified color according to customer needs.
  • Maintain consistent quality of work; report labor accurately and promptly.
  • Support company policies, including ISO 9001 and 14001 standards and procedures.
  • Uphold departmental standards in housekeeping, attendance, and productivity.
  • Demonstrate flexibility in high-stress situations, priority shifts, or new assignments.
Basic Qualifications:
  • 3 to 5 years of related experience or equivalent training/education.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • 5 to 7 years of experience in painting manufactured parts on a paint line within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Team:

Fabrication and Paint Department

  • Responsible for operating metalworking machines and preparing/painting fabricated parts, including setting up and operating equipment like lathes, mills, drills, punches, brakes, shears, and saws.
