Job summary

Pmblasting is seeking a Blasting Technician responsible for setting up blasting equipment and media for each job, preparing parts for coating per specifications, and following all safety procedures to maintain a safe work environment.

The role requires basic math skills, the ability to read work instructions, and at least 1 year of blasting experience in an industrial production environment. Other duties may be assigned as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1+ year blasting experience in an industrial setting.
• Ability to read and perform basic math calculations.

Responsibilities

Requirements

Job Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

• Thorough knowledge of blasting equipment, blasting media and blasting operation
• Basic knowledge of, and ability to communicate and understand work instructions
• Ability to comprehend and follow written or verbal instructions
• Ability to wear full body PPE including blast hood
• Ability to read tape measure and analog profiler
• Basic knowledge of, and ability to interpret, metal types, common thicknesses and tensile properties
• Basic knowledge of various blast media and their properties

Education and Experience

• High School diploma or equivalent demonstrated ability to read, write and perform basic math calculations
• 1 or more year experience blasting in an industrial production environment
