Job summary

Kewaunee Fabrications is part of the Oshkosh Corporation family and seeks a skilled painter to coating and finish products. Starting rate is $26.75 per hour with a $1.00 shift premium for 2nd/3rd shifts, plus overtime options. Benefits commence after 30 days and include medical, dental, vision, HSA, 401(k) and pension.

Essential duties include surface prep, coating, curing, and quality control. You will work on third shift Sunday through Thursday, with all shifts offering paid lunch and

Qualifications

• Basic mechanical aptitude and ability to read and write.
• Able to work independently with moderate supervision.
• Must pass a physical exam for respirator use.
• Must be able to enter confined spaces as required.
• Preferred: high school diploma or technical training; 1–3 years painting experience.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, mix, and apply coatings per manufacturer specs.
• Ensure substrates are clean and free of contaminants.
• Avoid runs, sags, and defects; ensure proper dry times.
• Adjust paint parameters for humidity/temperature changes.
• Repair coating defects to a high finish standard.
• Maintain painting equipment and routine preventive maintenance.
• Follow grounding and air filtration system procedures.
• Perform self-inspections and quality control at the workstation.
