Job summary

Amprod is seeking a 2nd Shift Painter (Powder Coat) to operate powder coating equipment and ensure high-quality finishes. Shift: Monday-Thursday 3:30pm-1:30am with a $18/hr-$20/hr base pay plus a $2/hr shift differential. Training on 1st shift may be required.

The role involves reading blueprints, following specifications, and maintaining safe, efficient production. Prior manufacturing or coating experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred (not required).
• Ability to read blueprints, specs, and shop documentation.
• Basic math skills (fractions, decimals, ratios, percentages).
• Ability to use calipers, micrometers, protractors, and tape measures.

Responsibilities

• Start and adjust conveyor and spray equipment.
• Set paint pressure and flow; monitor gauges.
• Hang parts as they come off the line.
• Inspect parts for paint quality (runs, sags, missed areas).
• Adjust spray patterns to correct coating issues.
• Clean paint booths, hooks, grids, and spray equipment.
• Hand-spray parts for touch-ups or rust prevention.
• Mix paint per specifications and adjust consistency.
• Follow SDS and safety requirements.
• Complete other assigned tasks.

Job Purpose Support the Paint Line Team by applying high-quality powder coating using cone, disk, or nozzle-type industrial equipment. You may rotate between stations as needed.
