Job summary

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Ensure consistent dry film thickness and meet paint standards.
  • Perform quality checks and adjust paint viscosity as needed.
  • Load/unload parts to be painted; monitor booth temps.
  • Maintain equipment and housekeeping; follow safety policies.
  • Cross-train to support production and train new associates.
  • Record daily time and support APS initiatives.

Job description

Responsibilities
  • Operate painting system
  • Spray paint truck bodies and/or components using handheld spray gun
  • Apply paint to obtain consistent dry film thickness
  • Perform quality checks and ensures paint application meets paint standards
  • Check paint viscosity during shift and adjust as necessary
  • Change solvent and paint drums
  • Fill hardener and paint drums
  • Perform paint booth housekeeping and filter maintenance
  • Maintain proper care of guns for minimum painting downtime
  • Ensure and occasionally assist with proper surface preparation prior to painting
  • Load and unload parts/components to be painted
  • Monitor temperature gauges in booth and oven
  • Maintain daily time records
  • Support APS (Altec Production System) initiatives. May participate in continuous improvement events
  • Move to other work areas to support production needs (cross-train)
  • Effectively assist and train new/current associates
  • Follow established safety, environmental and quality policies, procedures, and practices to include proper use and care of PPE
  • Maintain work area and shop tools/equipment
  • Shows commitment to Altec core values
  • Other job duties as assigned
Basic Qualifications

Applicants must:

  • be able to provide a high school diploma/GED.

Pay Transparency

Pay range: $22.83 - $28.23/hour + $1.50 shift differential. We are committed to fair and competitive pay for all associates based on their experience, education, and qualifications.

Should the selected candidate meet the qualifications of a more experienced level in the career path, the job level may be adjusted.
