Job summary

Hubbell Incorporated in Broken Arrow, OK is seeking a Paint Operator to prepare surfaces and apply epoxy and urethane wet paints to achieve high-grade finishes on parts.

You will set up spray guns, mask components, and maintain spray equipment; follow safety procedures and assist in improving workflows. The role requires attention to masking, coating, and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Basic arithmetic skills.

• Hand tools (gages, guns, and pumps).

• Stand for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Applying masking tape and/or caps to protect parts that are not to be coated.
• Applying epoxy and urethane coatings to surfaces.
• Adjust valves on spray guns to regulate spray width and pressure.
• Pull trigger and direct spray onto surfaces to apply primer or finish coat.
• Clean and maintain spray equipment and booths.
• Suggest improvements to supervisors for assigned work.
• Follow written and verbal instructions from lead or supervisors.
• Operate equipment safely and inspect work for conformance.

Job Overview

The Paint Operator prepares surfaces and applies epoxy and urethane wet paints to obtain high-grade finishes on parts or products.

• Applying masking tape and/or caps to protect parts and components that are not to be coated.
• Applying wet coat surfaces of manufactured products with epoxy and urethane coatings.
• Adjust valves on spray guns to regulate the width and pressure of spray.
• Pull trigger and direct spray onto the work surface to apply prime or finish coat.
• Properly cleaning and maintaining all spray equipment including booth maintenance.
• Making suggestions to supervisors for improvements associated with assigned work.
• Following instructions, both written and verbal, from the lead person and production supervisors.
• Operating all equipment in a safe and efficient manner.
  Inspect your own work for conformity to standards.
