Job summary

Qualifications

• 5+ years of Topcoat Caliber experience required.
• Selected workers will work 2nd shift primarily and may be scheduled for OT/weekends.
• Must pass a respirator test and be able to stand for an 8-hour shift.

Responsibilities

• Paint aircraft details and perform priming and finishing to engineering tolerances.
• Set up and test electrical/mechanical/hydraulic/pneumatic assemblies as needed.
• Perform metal etching, polishing, engraving and related surface prep tasks.
• Ensure compliance with safety and background checks and Boeing re-hire requirements where applicable.

Job Description

PDS Defense, Inc. is seeking a Commercial Wide Body Aircraft Painter, in Wichita, KS.

Perform process activities including, e.g., painting, metal etching, metal polishing of aircraft details, heat treating, engraving, shot peening, sand blasting, wire assembling/fabrication, decal/metalcals and metal processing, etc. to support the production requirements. 2. Qualified to set-up and test electrical/mechanical/ hydraulic/pneumatic assemblies and components. 3. Spray and brush priming. 4. Perform hand finishing operations typical of the following: blending of multiple adjacent MDD surfaces into engineering tolerances and/or perform transition work to bring detail parts in accordance with engineering tolerances.

Skills

Need workers with 5+ years of Topcoat Caliber experience

Selected workers will work 2nd shift primarily. However, must be ready to work any shift/OT/weekends as needed

Must be able to pass a Respirator test

Must be able to stand and work for entire 8 hr. shift

Must be able to start within 2 weeks after offer acceptance

Must clear the background checks

Need to do Boeing re-hire checks before offer acceptance if your candidate was a former Boeing worker
