Job summary

Victaulic in Utah is hiring a dedicated Painter to join our coating team. The Painter will apply lining and coatings to steel pipe, operate painting equipment, and ensure quality workmanship while following safety protocols.

This full-time role runs Monday through Thursday 6am–4:30pm, with occasional Fridays; pay is $19–$21 per hour. Candidates should have a high school diploma, good communication skills, and the ability to lift heavy materials and stand for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and apply lining and coatings to steel pipe.
• Surface clean steel pipe.
• Protect areas not to be painted (threaded ends, etc.).
• Operate painting machines, compressors, and related equipment.
• Follow safety protocols and wear PPE.
• Perform routine maintenance on coating equipment.
• Set up the paint area and secure the work site.
• Maintain accurate records of work completed.
• Other tasks as assigned.

This role involves operatingpaintingequipment,maintaininga safe work environment, and ensuring that allcoatingsmeet the Victaulic’s quality standards. The ideal candidate will have experience insteel coatings, a strong understanding of safety protocols, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Physical stamina and attention to detail are essential, as is a commitment tomaintaininghigh-quality workmanship.

Job Responsibilities

• Prepare and apply lining and coatings to steel pipe

• Surface clean steel pipe

• Apply protective coverings to areas of the pipe that should not be painted, such as threaded ends or areas requiring special protection.

• Operatepaintingmachines, compressors, and other related equipment, adjusting settings to match thepipe’smaterial and the desired finish.

• Follow all safety protocols, including wearing appropriate personalprotective equipment (PPE) and ensuring the work area is secure from hazards such as flying debris or inhalation of dust particles.

• Perform routine maintenance oncoatingsequipment, including cleaning, lubricating, and replacing worn parts to ensure efficient operation.

• Set up and prepare thepaintarea, including arranging pipes, setting up scaffolding orsupports, and securing the area for safe operation.

• Maintainaccuraterecords of work completed, including logging the types of pipes blasted, duration of work, and any issuesencounteredduring the process.

• Any other tasks, as assigned.
