This full-time role requires attention to detail, good communication, and the ability to lift heavy materials. A compliance mindset with safety protocols is essential; bilingual is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and apply lining and coatings to steel pipe.
• Surface clean steel pipe.
• Apply protective coverings to areas not to be painted.
• Operate painting machines and related equipment, adjusting settings as needed.
• Follow safety protocols and wear PPE.
• Perform routine maintenance on coatings equipment.
• Set up the paint area and secure the work zone for safe operation.
• Maintain accurate records of work performed.
• Any other tasks as assigned.

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Painter to join our coatings team. The Painter will be responsible for applying a variety of linings and coatings to steel pipe. This role involves operating painting equipment, maintaining a safe work environment, and ensuring that all coatings meet Victaulic’s quality standards. The ideal candidate will have experience in steel coatings, a strong understanding of safety protocols, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Physical stamina and attention to detail are essential, as is a commitment to maintaining high-quality workmanship.

Job Responsibilities

• Prepare and apply lining and coatings to steel pipe
• Surface clean steel pipe
• Apply protective coverings to areas of the pipe that should not be painted, such as threaded ends or areas requiring special protection
• Operate painting machines, compressors, and other related equipment, adjusting settings to match the pipe's material and the desired finish
• Follow all safety protocols, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and ensuring the work area is secure from hazards such as flying debris or inhalation of dust particles
• Perform routine maintenance on coatings equipment, including cleaning, lubricating, and replacing worn parts to ensure efficient operation
• Set up and prepare the paint area, including arranging pipes, setting up scaffolding or supports, and securing the area for safe operation
• Maintain accurate records of work completed, including logging the types of pipes blasted, duration of work, and any issues encountered during the process
• Any other tasks, as assigned

Schedule

Full Time: Monday-Thursday 6am-4:30pm and occasionally Fridays

Pay

$19-21/hour
