Job summary

Pico Electric Inc in Thousand Oaks, CA, is seeking a commercial Painter to join our team and perform exterior and interior painting for residential and light commercial settings. You will work with an energetic crew, delivering quality service with a strong customer focus and positive attitude.

You will prepare surfaces, select materials, mix paints, repair surfaces, and ensure safety standards are followed while communicating clearly with customers and documenting work orders.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in residential or commercial painting and/or remodeling/home repair
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Ability to lift and carry 20 lbs of equipment

Responsibilities

• Paint using a proper applicator (brush, roller, etc.) while utilizing proper painting techniques
• Interact professionally with customers, evaluating requests, pricing projects, troubleshooting issues, and describing work orders as needed
• Identify proper materials and quantities for new and existing projects
• Prepare surfaces for painting by washing, scraping, sanding, or by other means necessary
• Mix, match, and blend various paints, enamels, lacquers, varnishes, stains, and special protective coatings to achieve the desired color, consistency, and drying properties
• Use caulk, putty, cement, or plaster to repair holes and cracks
• Inspect paint jobs for quality
• Perform daily maintenance routines on painting equipment
