Job Overview:
Affordable Contracting Inc is looking for a dependable and experienced Painter to join our growing home remodeling team in Oldsmar, FL. This role focuses on detailed surface preparation and high-quality application of paints and finishes on interior residential surfaces. The right candidate will have a keen eye for detail, a commitment to excellence, and the ability to perform clean, professional-level work that enhances the beauty and value of our remodeling projects.

Responsibilities Include but Are Not Limited To:

• Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, and patching walls and ceilings
• Fill imperfections using caulk, plaster, putty, or appropriate materials
• Mix, match, and apply paints, stains, and finishes with precision
• Use brushes, rollers, and spray equipment for application
• Protect surrounding areas with drop cloths, plastic, or masking tape
• Follow instructions from blueprints or project specifications
• Perform touch-ups and finish work to the highest quality standards
• Clean tools, equipment, and job sites after each project
• Maintain compliance with OSHA safety standards and company protocols
• Collaborate with carpenters, drywallers, and other team members to deliver coordinated results

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Proven experience as a professional painter in residential construction
• Familiarity with industry tools and application techniques
• Knowledge of surface preparation, painting materials, and finishes
• Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity
• Ability to work on ladders, scaffolding, or tight spaces as needed
• Self-motivated and able to work independently or as part of a crew
• Physical ability to stand, lift, and bend for extended periods

Preferred Qualifications:

• Certification or formal training in painting or related trades
• Experience in both interior and exterior residential painting
• Knowledge of OSHA safety practices and compliance procedures
