Job summary

Fundamental is seeking a Painter in Sumter, SC to prep and paint interior and exterior surfaces. The role requires 3 years of painting experience, attention to detail, reliability, and a valid driver's license. You will repair surfaces, maintain supplies, and protect furnishings during work.

Qualifications

  • 3 years of experience in painting, plaster, drywall repair and finishing.
  • Proven attention to detail in finished work.
  • Organizational skills with strong customer service.
  • Ability to read, write and speak English.
  • Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license; local travel as needed.
  • Background check required.

Responsibilities

  • Repair and maintain painted, drywall and masonry surfaces and popcorn ceilings.
  • Maintain inventory of painting and repair supplies.
  • Protect surfaces with masking tape, drop cloths and coverings to keep them paint-free.
  • Prepare surfaces by cleaning, filling holes/cracks and smoothing with sanding.
  • Clean machines, equipment and work areas using water/solvents.

Job description

As a Painter, you will perform the general duties necessary to prepare and paint or cover interior and exterior surfaces.

Posted Salary Range

USD $17.00 - USD $21.00 /Hr.

Wage Commensuration

The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience, education and training, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • You will repair and maintain all painted, drywall surfaces, masonry surfaces and popcorn ceilings
  • You will maintain inventory of supplies for painting and repairs
  • Preserves trim, flooring, furniture and other surfaces with masking tape, drop cloths and other protective coverings to keep them free of paint.
  • Prepares surfaces for painting by cleaning, filling holes and cracks with putty, and sanding until smooth.
  • Cleaning machines, equipment and work areas using water, solvents and other cleaning aids.
Qualifications & Requirements
  • High school graduate or GED
  • Must have 3 years of experience in painting, plaster, drywall repair and finishing
  • Must have proven attention to detail in finished work
  • Proven organizational skills coupled with exceptional customer service
  • Ability to read, write and speak English
  • Must have reliable source of transportation and valid driver’s license
  • Must be able to travel locally, as needed
  • Background check required
