Job Summary:

To layout, mark, and perform the more complicated painting assignments on new delivery and customer-owned aircraft, to meet Quality Control inspection and customer acceptance.

Job Responsibilities:

1. Work from oral and written instructions and established shop practices to perform a variety of painting assignments to meet quality control inspection and customer acceptance.
   • Check daily work assignments with shop supervision. Examine completed aircraft for discrepancies, determine extent of rework, and perform the more complicated painting assignments.
   • Order paint supplies, clean and service spray guns, paint pots, hoses, and other spray-painting equipment.
2. Follow general safety practices and regulations.
3. Provide estimates to management for time and material costs of jobs, if required.
4. Apply filters, prep, prime, and paint surfaces, including large areas like fuselage, tails, and wings.
5. Collaborate with company personnel and outside vendors to ensure quality products and techniques are used.
6. Repair or refinish cabinetry and interior items as needed.
7. Keep inventory of supplies and order in advance to ensure availability.
8. Perform blending as needed.

Qualifications

Education:

• High School Diploma, equivalent certificate, or bronze level WorkKeys certification required.

Experience:

• Minimum 2 years of aircraft, automotive, or other vehicle spray painting experience.

Skills and Requirements:

• Ability to obtain and maintain an airport security badge, if applicable.
• Ability to interpret simple drawings, apply basic arithmetic, and use measuring instruments.
